ASKR Wares Studio

A small archive of dark ceramic objects.

ASKR Wares is an independent object studio built around original visual direction, hand-carved black ceramic surfaces, and small-batch pieces made for rooms with memory, ritual, and quiet presence.

Original direction

The archive begins with ASKR Wares' own ideas.

Every series starts from an original ASKR Wares concept: the mood, object type, symbolic language, product naming, and collection structure are directed before a piece enters the archive.

That direction keeps the work from feeling like a random catalog. Dark portraits, celestial signs, ocean forms, natural specimens, black vessels, and ornate relics each have their own place inside the same world.

Da Zhuang artisan hand-carved ceramic work

The hand behind the surface

Carved with Da Zhuang.

Da Zhuang is the artisan name behind the hand-carved ceramic surfaces in the ASKR Wares archive. His work gives each object its physical rhythm: the pressure of the line, the variation of the edge, and the quiet irregularity that only handwork can leave behind. ASKR Wares directs the concept and visual world; Da Zhuang helps bring that direction into clay, carving, glaze, and fire.

A letter from ASKR Wares

To the person who found us,

ASKR Wares began with a simple feeling: some objects should not look too new, too perfect, or too ordinary. I wanted to build a small archive of pieces that feel discovered rather than produced.

Every series starts from my own visual direction, then moves through the hands of Da Zhuang and the quiet uncertainty of clay, carving, glaze, and fire.

If one of these pieces finds a place in your room, I hope it feels less like decoration and more like a small object with presence.

Sourcing & standards

Selected slowly, described carefully.

01 Small-batch selection

Pieces are chosen for silhouette, surface language, collection fit, and practical shipping feasibility.

02 Specific use claims

Food-contact language is kept specific to plates and cup forms with a food-safe glazed finish.

03 Visual consistency

Each object should belong to the ASKR Wares world while still carrying the natural variation of handwork.

04 Fragile-object packing

Ceramic pieces are treated as fragile objects, with packaging considered as part of the buying experience.
